Maybe his advanced stats are off the charts, but he has 3 years in the League and has marginally better traditional stats than, oh, say, Morgan Rielly. And is 26 versus 22 with Rielly.

His peripherals are terrible. I really have no explanation here.

He's a good young defenseman, but he's now making more than TJ Brodie and I'll take Brodie every day and twice on Sunday over DeKeyser Soze.

Can someone provide me with evidence to support Ken Holland having a job still? That move to the East that prolonged their playoff streak saved his rear end. They just feel like a team treading water, hopelessly stuck in between contention and lottery pick.

I think there are a growing number of Wings fans (some post on this board) that are not very pleased with Ken Holland's job performance over the last few years.

I 100% understand having some patience, especially with a guy who has brought winning before, but...he also took over a well oiled machine. He took over a team the year after a Cup in 97 that boasted the Russian Five (obviously Konstantinov not a factor after he took over), Shanahan, Yzerman, Lidstrom. The success certainly continued, and that's a tribute to his work, but it sure seems like it's teaching an old dog new tricks suddenly. Since '09 when they made the Finals they've made it to the second round three times, never advancing past that. Their next few seasons weren't poor really. 2011 just seems to be their last hurrah, winning the Central and getting over 100 points. Since then it's been a whole lot of mediocrity and one playoff series win vs. the Ducks in 7 and Mr. "Never Wins in 7".

Ken Holland has signed some of the worst contracts in the league this decade. That might be the funniest part - this is a bad deal and it's still only, like, the 5th-worst on the team.

You know what next fun site we need? A GM tracker that lists all trades and signings completed by a particular GM.

Very few really appreciate how good he is. I think most of the people that realize that he's pretty good still underrate him. The way that he plays is also just beautiful to watch. I'll cry if/when he's not a Leaf anymore.
