Crazy day. Fun trades
Yeah when I heard went on this is was my first reaction.Crazy day. Fun trades
I'll bet ya 5 bucks my Senators make it this year. People underestimate how bad of coach Cameron was this year and also how important injuries to Turris and MacA were last year.
Not sure if it's been mentioned here but that Stamkos visit to Toronto took place on Monday.
For a little while I thought he had met with the Leafs and the two CEO's and was so horrified by what he heard and saw he called Yzerman on a bathroom break and begged for rescue.
I don't blame Stamkos one bit for staying in Tampa. Makes the most sense if you ask me.
So, like, what do they do with RNH now? 3rd line centre?
Wait, I didn't realize this trade happened two days before PK's NMC kicked in.
Wait, I didn't realize this trade happened two days before PK's NMC kicked in. Talk about a kick in the nuts. He's a solid guy, so I'm sure he'll adjust, but anger is certainly justified.
Edmonton. Montreal got a beast back, even if it was a lesser beast.Which trade do you guys think is worse, Montreal's or Edmonton's?
Does that mean the NMC is void? That's the chatter I heard on Twitter. If so that's kind of f'ed up.
I really, really want to say the Habs but Edmonton's was just so lopsided.Which trade do you guys think is worse, Montreal's or Edmonton's?

I'd make a different argument for the Habs - they need offence. They cannot score, they haven't been able to score for half a decade+ and it is probably the only reason they haven't gotten to a Cup final while having one of the best goalies ever in the crease. It's such an obvious need. That's how I feel. Even with the money savings I still think the Habs lost the trade by a decent amount - but I do not think it was a horrible deal.
At least right now, if Nashville plays a more up tempo offense and lets PK be PK he may put up a lot more points and make the Habs look even more foolish.
