Garrioch says the Flames are trying hard to move up to 3 or 4.

I wonder how many first rounders BB&T are going to try to give Columbus for #3. It would have to take at least 3 of them for a prospect with Pul's upside, no?

If Monahan is not in the conversation, there is no conversation.

Kekeleinen was on the radio here yesterday and said he got three well reasoned and vary fair offers. And he said no to all three. Looks like needs a socks knocker or he's picking.

That's not to say he won't be looking to add a second rounder to try and get Brown as well, but it's probably not very likely unless he starts to slide.

Question is, does Calgary deal with Edmonton? Does Calgary want Tkachuk bad enough to make the Oil better?

There's no chance on god's blue earth Calgary moves Sean Monahan.

But, if Calgary agrees to take one or two of Columbus' junk contracts and gives them two 1sts and a 2nd, for example, well, business-wise that could be very hard to say no to. That is probably the kind of deal Jarmo is holding out for. Maybe the teams who have called have agreed to take one bad deal, say Hartnell or Foligno but the Jackets want them to take Johnson or Tyutin as well. If that's the case, I could see someone biting.

If Jarmo is active on draft day, I'd hope he's looking to jump in around the 9th range. Dubois will certainly be gone, but Logan Brown is an attractive center for Blue Jackets style hockey (IE: Big and kind of mean), and Montreal, Colorado and NJ might be interested in young wingers Rychel and Atkinson. Not immediate help, but should be ready by the time the Jackets have shed Clarkson, Hartnell, Johnson and Tyutin.

Still a long shot for him to make any moves at the table, though.

Is PullyourRV going to be that much better than the player the Flames would pick in the 6 hole? I don't think so, so I don't want to spend a bunch to get him. But I guess that's reason BT is where he is and I'm on a message board (lol).

It seems kind of illogical to move up 3 spots. The only difference between 3 overall and 6 overall is 3 is almost definitely going to play next year, whereas 6 might need another year.

CBJ is not unlike Edmtn or Van. When at least considering trading a top 5 pick you have to get full return. Don't get it, don't make trade.

Sharks acquire F Letunov from Coyotes

The San Jose Sharks have acquired forward Max Letunov and a sixth-round pick in 2017 from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a fourth-round pick this year and a third-round pick in 20167.

Pfft. That's shaping up to be a weak draft. Sharks win this trade.

Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres
TRADE ALERT: Sabres acquire rights to forward Jimmy Vesey from @PredsNHL for a 3rd rd. pick.

Geez, right under the Leafs noses too.

Stephen Whyno @SWhyno
The 3rd-rounder #Sabres sent to #Preds for rights to Jimmy Vesey (Wild's at No. 76) is not conditional. Buffalo must believe he'll sign.

CBJ is not unlike Edmonton or Vancouver in the sense that there is simply no predicting what the fucking GM is likely to do.

I didn't want Andersen in a Flames jersey, but that's a nice trade for Toronto.

Just looked at some stats. Maybe not too high.

Anyone want a slightly used Bernier?
