Me so bored.
See the "probably already won" makes me itchy - like marriage is a contest??? Marriage isn't a contest unless its, "let's see how long we can live with each other without maiming or murdering each other."
I would never spend 50k on a dress unless I was a billionairess, in which case, it wouldn't exactly matter.
Even $2-4 k is a lot, but if I was super rich I guess I can see it happening, because a lot of couture dresses are that expensive anyway (or more) and I'd wear them out to dinner and stuff so I might as well wear it when I was getting married.
But being that I'm NOT super rich, a couple hundred is what I can justify - especially since I want a dress I can wear over and over.
Ok the buckner one was good.
I wasn't going for contest. Win was intended to mean more like, I don't know, relief or something.
What if she had her own money and was buying the dress herself?
Ok the buckner one was good.

I mean, it would be fine and all, and if she really wanted to do it, I wouldn't stop her, but I guess I just don't care enough about aesthetics (barely at all, in fact) to genuinely get behind spending a bunch of money on something pretty much strictly aesthetic.
I can understand, though, I suppose, the motivation to spend that kind of money, since a wedding is kind of a big deal, but I guess I'd just feel that money would be better allocated to something else, even something else related to the wedding, like upgrading the food and drink or something (which is an investment I most certainly can get behind).
Holy cow that was a long last sentence. All of my English professors are cringing.
Or she can wear a devils jersey instead
What is this blasphemy?

Because if it's brilliant, you should share it.
