I'm still laughing at the Bears...they gave up 2 picks in the top 130 this year and 1, probably, next year to move up 1 spot to take a QB. In this scenario, they better be right and he better be a damn good QB, and I still believe the Bears have way more holes to fill than QB. In a very general sense, they gave up a starting player or 2 just to move up 1 spot for what might have been a lot of smoke and sunshine being blown up their butts from the 49ers. Add to that the split among scouts that this is a weaker QB class...Trubitsky starting only 1 year...and the Bears roster in general...and that is a massive haul for the 49ers...
They got played like a fiddle by the 49ers. The most bizarre thing is they had Glennon; most probably assumed that he is there to prevent crazy and reachy moves just like this one. They had the #3 overall pick for cripes sake.

Mike Williams is my favorite pick in a LOOOOOOONG time. He's faster than his 40 time. Football fast is different.

That move was mind boggling... You're putting way too much stock in that pick, so many bust so you gotta keep as many picks as possible... Like you said, that pick BETTER be a stud or it sets your program back big time...

If you had me guessing I'd assume the broadcaster GM was in Chicago, not San Francisco.

Right...or maybe he is one smart MF'er that everyone else over looked...or the Bear's GM has some kind of mental disability...

Thought Trubisky all the makings of a bust going into the draft. Now that he's a Bears QB, I'm convinced he's a bust.

I'm sure Gareon Conley is just as innocent as Kobe Bryant or Big Ben. Funny, I could've sworn Al Davis was dead.

My guess at what happened...Cle calls Chi asking the price of the #3 pick...Chi panics because they believe Cle wants Trubitsky...they call San Fran...San Fran sees through the charade and fleeces Chi to move up 1 spot...they probably told them they were giving them a better "deal" than what they offered Cle...they forgot to mention the deal was better for them than Chi...

They got played like a fiddle by the 49ers.

Obviously still very early in his tenure, and we'll only know about how this draft class turns out, but I'd say John Lynch has answered some questions. The Solomon/Bears deal was a straight-up robbery, and the Foster pick may turn out to be the best of the round the given talent/where he was taken.
