When picking late in the 1st, I think picking up those extra picks is a good strategy. They move back 8 to 10 spots but get 3 or 4 extra cracks at getting guys that can help them...much better than picking a guy at 25 to 30, he misses and you've got a big hole somewhere on your roster.

Would be hilarious if Peppers ends up being the best player in the Browns' draft.

Lots of talent left, Cook or Mixon and plenty of DB's out there, but is there much help on the O-line which is a position of need correct?

I'm sure there is. While the scouting reports say the OL is thin, I'm sure there are still guys available that can play. They might not be the sure fire, blue chippers that go in the top 10, but there are plenty of guys that start, play and are very good that get picked in round 2 thru 7 and sometimes college free agents.

It would seem to make more sense to pick 2 of them that might not grade as well as the top 5 than 1 of the top 5. So taking 2 OL in the 33 to 100 range might give you a better chance at a serviceable player than #28 or whatever the pick was. I think the more players you can bring in and work with, the better your chance of getting an actual player.

If the Chiefs can get Marlon Mack and load up on front 7 players, I'd be pretty pleased with this draft. Not high on Mahomes, but I do trust Reid when it comes to QB's given his history with them. Mahomes to Tyreek Hill is tantalizing in my mind.

Logic is there, you just never know how guys will pan out. Lots of great football players have come after the 1st, I am sure they will find some quality players in this draft

Patrick is a good kid and a hard worker with plenty of upside. I think you will be pleased in the end

I'm still laughing at the Bears...they gave up 2 picks in the top 130 this year and 1, probably, next year to move up 1 spot to take a QB. In this scenario, they better be right and he better be a damn good QB, and I still believe the Bears have way more holes to fill than QB. In a very general sense, they gave up a starting player or 2 just to move up 1 spot for what might have been a lot of smoke and sunshine being blown up their butts from the 49ers. Add to that the split among scouts that this is a weaker QB class...Trubitsky starting only 1 year...and the Bears roster in general...and that is a massive haul for the 49ers...

Peppers is set up for a bust. As we have seen in the past, Ohio St players succeed in the NFL. Michigan players dont, except the undrafted fucker

Should have taken Foster.
