Yeah. I'm beginning to dislike the Petino love Jr gets off his daddy's name.
He's 35-25 overall as a head coach between FIU and Minnesota.
They are listed as having 17 overall wins, but one of those was over a D-2 team. So in reality they only have 16 like Nebraska.
Beating Iowa will boost their RPI and justify their bracketology love over Nebraska even though they're behind them in the standings.
Go Hawks I guess. Nebraska still has to win regardless.

I dislike the Petino lovefest also.
So my guess is that some of these writers have a working relationship with members of the selection committee. The Big Ten has their guy on the committee, and he's the AD from Michigan State. Why he's so eager to stroke Petino I have no clue. Or maybe he just don't like Nebraska, who knows.

Honestly that Minnesota win was not good for us.
They will likely make it in even with only 7 wins and 1 win in the tournament. They are that well-liked by the analysts. This win tonight was huge for them.....fuck.
The other thing that hurts is the fact that the analysts don't believe the Big 10 is worthy of more than 6 teams......meaning Nebraska basically is going to be forced to finish 12-6 and win a game in the tournament as well.
It just sucks.
