why is his career 4th Q FT % so low ?

I don't even know what it is. I know the guy carried a Cleveland team to the Finals himself. Think what you want. I just think people love to hate on him and they forgot all the clutch moments he's had. Hell, the 3 with a few minutes left tonight to give the Heat back the lead was huge.

If Westbrook didn't foul there, Skip Bayless would be eating his word, but Westbrook just made the game unreachable

and he does what he always does in crunch time -- choke

Yeah, but without him, they're down by 12 with 15 seconds and it doesn't matter. Dumb play, but he was impressive tonight. Durant was pedestrian.

That was one of the truly boneheaded plays in basketball history. Chris Webber would be proud.

Lebron had 1 less assist than the Thunder. :burt: This is why you don't need a Stephon Marbury on your team.

Westbrook was 20-32 for 43 points, 7 boards, and 5 dimes.

If he doesn't foul there, the best case scenario is OKC has 7 seconds to hit a 3. Odds of that going in are not good.

He didn't botch the game. This WAS a game because of him on a night when Durant was average and Ibaka, Harden, and Fisher were completely invisible. He hustled all night long - the rest of the guys looked like they weren't even into it.

Watching OKC celebrate its win over SA, I had the thought they looked too relaxed, had too much of a sense of accomplishment and that the pressure of the Finals would get to them. Later on, I talked myself out of believing they had played long enough together to overcome it.

Turns out my initial feeling was right. They're not mature enough. They're screwing up at the worst possible times and are becoming increasingly disoriented on offense each game progresses. If they're not in transition, it looks like they don't know what to do. It reminds me a little of what Barkley said about them all season long; their halfcourt game isn't great and they shoot too many jumpers.
