Pretty sure even UNA hasn't suffered that, and we're a Division II team.
ESPN said:Swofford said it would be up to individual institutions to determine if it wanted to schedule future games against Football Championship Subdivision opponents.
"It's good for college football," said Fisher, whose Seminoles play The Citadel on Sept. 6. "It gives you David and Goliath."
Well considering those FCS teams rely on the money paid to them it is somewhat necessary to have these games. I do like seeing games like Eastern Washington, James Madison, Appalachian State, and so on. His point is not a good one though. It is david vs goliath, but it is also almost always a tune up game to fill the schedule with a home game.
Since when are schools responsible for the fiscal status of schools not only not in their conference but most of the time not in their state? Teams play lesser teams to work the kinks out or play a decent team from another conference. Nothing wrong with playing a lesser team with half your recruiting budget but hopfully your AD and coach do thow in a decent one also who could actually give you a little bit of a game. But its cowardly to play Eastern texas, North Missouri,Southwest florida trucking school every year sometimes two of these a year. You're not doing it out of the goodness of your heart.

Nah he had offers and turned them down I think he likes having the easier path and he kinda proved it last year. FSU in the SEC West last year does not win the National Championship and probably has two losses.
