They have to beat Detroit....yes

but if they screw the pooch and go like 2-4 against CWS and MIA they might find themselves even further back of Detroit heading into that series...gotta keep the gap close

Just heard we picked up Marc Rzepczynski, Cards lefty RP. Least we didnt have to break the bank

Rzepczynski, 27, has compiled a Major League record of 9-17 with a 4.20 ERA in 177 games/23 starts between the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals since debuting with the Jays in 2009. In his big league career lefties have hit .224 (73-326, .607OPS) off him. His best season came in 2011 between Toronto and St. Louis, posting a combined ERA of 3.34 (62.0IP, 50H, 23ER, 61K) in 71 games while tossing 2.2 scoreless innings (4K) in the 2011 World Series for the eventual champs.

Was hoping theyd do something bigger then a RP, but maybe theyre waiting til off-season when theres better pickings. Long as our pitching stays as good as its been lately, long as the bats are clutch I think we'll be okay

Capt. feeling pretty good about current pitching staff, Been impressed with Ulbado lately OMG last game was unreal. If that keeps up and Mac comes around we will be fine

Didn't know they sent him down. Is he hurt or just struggling? Bc I knew he was playn pretty bad

Everything has been great and it helps the waythe starters have been. Kazmir struggled early but settled down and BP helped em stay close to make a comeback.

It seems like if they stay close tey have a great chance at winning every game!
