The irony is that the OHL seems to have the most issues with fighting and cheap shots / repeat offenders than the QMJHL and the Dub.

/Of course, the above statement is based on anecdotal rather than empirical evidence...

From what I understand the Islanders were going to make a decision on signing Kichton during training camp. Obviously training camp hasn't happened yet.

Giants had awful starts in both games, and clawed back to make it close each time.
Coach Hay had better get that straightened away in a hurry, and they don't appear to have the explosive offense to dig out of holes.
also goaltending was shitty in the first game - Royals got 5 goals on 17 shots (plus the empty netter)

Spokane beat Tri-City 5-2 to open their season last night. It's the first time Tri-City has lost their home opener in 12 years.

Edmonton is now 3-0 after beating Lethbridge 3-0. Samuelsson & Lazar seem to be playing well. Reinhart has 3A in 3 games.

This news is a day old so it may have been posted somewhere else but it looks like Yakupov may end up back in the CHL with the Sarnia Sting. They are blocking him from playing in the KHL.
