Can play the "what if" game as well and say if Ozuna doesn't let that ball get past him then Soroka gets out of the inning before his injury

I don't like doing that. If you're gonna go that route, might as well blame Snit for putting a DH in left field. It sucks when they happen, but injuries happen. We had the depth to withstand it last year, we don't this year and that's on the front office.

Best 1-5 rotation we've had since the 90's last year, and currently one of them remains in the rotation. One pitches for the White Sox, one pitches for the Angels, one is strung out on meth and the other has a torn achilles.

Interesting considering so many here play the what if game with Freddie and the NLDS last year

If Nick can even be somewhat productive, that lineup looks a lot better with him in there.

Nick's first swing this season resulted in a ball hit harder than anything Ender has hit all year

That's not the what if game. He he hits a fly ball, we at the very least break a long playoff series losing streak. Granted, you can blame Snit for needing a game 4 at all, since he gave away game 1 when he took out my favorite reliever, Josh Tomlin.

He had a PH groundout last night so not first swing but do agree your point that Ender can’t hit for shit

I've said it before on another thread, but I'll post it here. Ender is still a very good defensive center fielder, but he's not as good as he was a few years ago, and he's useless at the plate. I wouldn't be heartbroken if we moved on. He got us a 200 hit season and some gold gloves, but we've got all the good out of him.

What if Freddie hits a sac fly isn't a "what if?"

I’ve never said “what if” when it comes to FFF in the 2019 NLDS. He choked. Plain as simple. Now he’s a bum.

That series was the most painful loss since the ‘97 NLCS.

The only bummer of that being how vastly superior he is in CF compared to Acuña.

I’m pretty ashamed to admit this, but I’m sold....time for the DH to be permanent in the Senior Circuit. I’m as much of a baseball purist as anyone I know, but the baseball I’ve seen so far in 2020 has changed my mind. No more anguishing watching pitchers bat with RISP.

Fair enough. Ozuna catches the ball, Soroka doesn't get hurt. There.

And you can blame Folty for shitting the bed in game 5.
