O no doubt about it. You get 9 games of awesome officiating and 9 games of shit.

I was just pointing it out that it's outrageous in the BIG10.

I linked to the numbers earlier in the thread. It's not just perception. Over the years, home teams have 3-4 fewer fouls called on them. In other conferences, it's around 1.

For the most part, I think it is fair since it happens to everyone. It does suck for a team like us this year, where we never need the refs' help at home. A big reason for the Rutgers loss was Gasser fouling out (with 2 totally BS calls). I still think the B1G refs are some of the most consistent and best in the business, all-in-all.

lol nice that the numbers support what my eyes were telling me!!

But I agree, the key is really consistency. While I prefer a game that isn't stopping continuously for fouls I am ok with a let em play game or ticky tack game...as long as it is consistent.

Just wish the games didn't so blatantly favor home teams so consistently. But at least every team gets their favoritism.

Smart.. Every now and then we see the Chicago High school Superteams. My freshman year we played against proviso East: Michael Finley Donny Boyce Sherell ford. All 3 were 1st round draft picks in the NBA. All 6'8 with Afros and could jump out the gym.

Or the Farragaut crew: Kevin Garnett, Ronny fields, and Michael ?? That went to AZ and played for the Knicks. Ronnie fields was a beast of an athlete.

I'm hoping they don't get any sleep tonight and take illinois lightly. Hopefully we can stay with them and make it interesting late in the game.

You guys are in the same boat as us... too many teams w/nearly identical records! Never thought the BIG would look like this so late in the season.

1976 was a good year. :yahoo:

Yeah man but I think you all are in a better position than we are right now. We have to win the games we are expected to win from here on out and at least 1 more against a good team. I just hope we can catch Wiscy nappin with that comfortable lead in the Big 10.

This time of year is great when your team is getting better. Always want to peak late in the year for sure.

We do have some favorable home match ups coming, but none of them are sure things. I feel like if we can split the difference, then we are in... at least I hope! The way you guys have been rolling, I would think a strong finish should get you guys in as well. Anyways, good luck tomorrow!

So it was 10-2 Badgers.

Then Kaminsky goes out and the Illini go on a 9-0 run.

Then Frank comes back and we get 4 quick points.

That seems to happen all the time. The guy is ridiculous. I'm not sure he has a negative +/- this year. He missed the Rutgers game, and against Duke, they went on a 11-2 run the first time he left.

Kaminsky and Dekker are tough. Wiscy passes the ball well and we have to hit our shots.

It was close, got to keep it close.

Illinois better come out hot in the 2nd half. Otherwise this game might get outta reach for them very quickly.

The officiating isn't the problem. Wisconsin is just better.

Kaminsky is the key to Wisky's success.
