We're gonna get out of Happy Valley with a 71-66 win. The Lions played us tough the whole way, and their guards really bullied us when they decided to drive, but our passing was too good and they missed too many shots. These are the types of games great teams have to win, and I'm glad we did.

As usual, Chambers has his guys fired up. He's a good coach, who was put in an awful situation (DeChellis left because he knew the cupboard was bare, that arena is awful the fans are apathetic, and he had the image problem from Sandusky). Still, the Badgers bigs need to dominate in the second. There's no shame in Newbill playing well, but we should be dominating inside.

DeChellis left before the Sandusky story broke.

DeChellis left before the Sandusky story broke.

I know. I'm saying that DeChellis left because he knew he didn't have good players to replace Talor Battle and Co. The other things are the reasons Chambers has struggled to recruit to stay competitive. When you combine the two, you get a solid coach who just doesn't win much.

Team showed more fight than I thought we had left in us. Great game. Hopefully Vonleh heals up quickly, I'm not sure how serious an inflamed foot is.

I m not going to bash on OSU. Matta better get his boys right. I want OSU to be in the Dance representing the Big 10 they usually do pretty good.. Great game IU . I wish this squad could make it to the Dance, but I dont think it will happen.

The announcers stated Ohio State was already in the NCAA tournament, so this really was a good win for Indiana as it gives that team a chance.
