Is this conference slipping a bit? A few weeks ago it looked like it could possibly be the best in the country. I really don't like any of the teams in this conference to go farther than the sweet 16.

is michigan st completely healthy yet?

Not yet but they all will be playing now. Appling and Dawson still got a bit to go but MSU is getting everyone back at the perfect time

Eh thats BS Kramer. There are 5 teams in the B10 that are legit threats to make a run in March. Not saying all of them will of course but there are currently 7 B10 teams in the top 50 of the RPI for a reason. The conference is deep as hell. Since the conference is deep it means there are no off nights. Even the last place teams in the league can beat you ( NW, Penn State, Illinois, Purdue ). There isnt another league in the country that can say that. Not one. Every other league has 1/2/3 doormats that you chalk up as an auto W.

you're talking to a guy who thinks the AAC has a tough conference and the best top 5.

No use.

game, ya fuckn Illini ya.

As of now, I am officially lowering my expectations for MSU.
They just don't have the grit to cut down nets in Arlington.

(dammit...another fuckn NC Runner-Up.)

I'm watching the games and I'm just not seeing it. Michigan is the only team I give any chance to advance past the sweet 16 and my brackets will indicate as such.

triple whammy at the Breslin today...

1. POW! It took Pittsburgh an extra 35 minutes (for a 5-minute OT) to beat Notre Dame. We don't get ESPiN3, so there were less than 8 minutes left in the first half of the ILL/MSU game when ESPiN2 finally got the fuckn feed.
:gaah:

2. ZAP! Dan fuckn Dickitch was announcing. If there's a 'run over Dan fuckn Dickitch' bounty pot anywhere, I'd love to contribute. Gawd, I hate that asshole.
:gaah:

3. ZING! Sparty played like shit (actually, saying that may do a disservice to shit.)
:gaah:

If Minnesota shoots like they did against Iowa then you'll be right.

If you're not going to play defense and limit turnovers, then you'd better be able to out-shoot them.

Iowa -14.5? That seems steep!

Best bet of the day?

Both teams have dropped three straight. Iowa, however, did so by averaging 82 ppg, down just 2 ppg from their season average. So there's no question that Iowa can cover 14.5 at home (even with mediocre defensive play) but will Purdue show up desperate and keep it close or show up deflated after their OT loss to Michigan? Hammons and Kaminsky do more battling than scoring? First and only meeting of the regular season goes to Iowa and I like the Hawks by 12...

Better take Kaminsky out of that equation...unless he defected from Wisky somehow. Iowa has plenty of size to neutralize Hammons presence.

As usual, Chambers has his guys fired up. He's a good coach, who was put in an awful situation (DeChellis left because he knew the cupboard was bare, that arena is awful the fans are apathetic, and he had the image problem from Sandusky). Still, the Badgers bigs need to dominate in the second. There's no shame in Newbill playing well, but we should be dominating inside.

The B1G is loaded with good head coaches. Chambers is no exception.

I see that pesky/scrappy PSU team is still hanging around. No surprise here.
