I like Iowa. I'm not sure they have enough pure talent to win the Big 10 this year. But if they can make a Sweet 16 run, they can up their recruiting and maybe steal some of Iowa State's thunder.

Iowas starting 5 is as good as any in the country. The bench has played well but is super inexperienced. The tournament sets up well for Iowa as they are tough to prepare for because they have so many weapons The Hawks,B10 schedule is pretty brute in comparison to Maryland but iowa has already won 4 tough ones.

Well, this is the year I'd be really excited to be a fan of a team like Iowa. If the right cards fall into place, maybe even Final Four.

I think Carolina clearly has the best 5, and they are starting to get it together. But other than that, everybody can be beat.

Id agree on UNC. Iowa has an advantage in that they have 4 shooters and share the ball so well. Plus it doesn't hurt to have a 6'10 guy that is almost an impossible cover lol

Absolutely embarrassed Illinois and OSU so far this season, fun stuff.

God Illinois is terrible. How they beat Purdue I have no clue. NW really needs this win if they want any shot at their first ever tourney bid

Wisconsin isn't good. They have losses to WIU, Milwaukee, NW, and Georgetown among others. Wisconsin is 10-9 for a reason. Also, maybe the reason why wisconsin isn't shooting good is because they don't have good talent. This tells me this was probably more of a fluke than anything else.

They were tied with a highly ranked Maryland team with less than 2 seconds left in the game which was the same team that kicked Ohio State. They may be better than some think

NW may only win 3/4 more games this year, they have no shot to make the tourney IMO.

Yeah they really really needed that one last night. Not only do they need 7 or 8 more wins minimum but at least 3 of them need to be good wins

Northwestern is not a pushover this year. At 15-5 and 3-4 in conference, they have a shot if they can beat some of the perceived good teams. Their next 3 games are at Indiana, home to Michigan State and at Iowa. They certainly will have their chances.

I'll agree they aren't a pushover in the sense they have been in the past, but do we really know how good they are? Any good team they've played they've lost to. I expect them to only win 4 or 5 more games this year.

I'm starting to think they're not really all that good. I think the Kansas win and undefeated start might have made us think more of them (partially because of how good Valentine was/is) and, as we saw from Kansas last night, they are certainly prone to stinkers.

One thing I've noticed in the second half is that they seem to take a LOT of bad shots. Valentine included. Seems like they just don't execute on offense and think they will just be able to get offensive rebounds (an Izzo staple) but, in all reality, their bigs aren't very good so they can't do that.

You may be right but even an average team shouldn't be in a nail biter with Nebraska at home. The Iowa losses? Iowa us pretty good so it's understandable. Even the Wisky loss was on the road abd,NY kind of pissed it down their leg. This one would be wayyyy different
