Coughlin was reportedly not happy about Langsdorf leaving, statistically Eli had one of his best years with DL as his QB coach. I'm pretty happy with this hire

Riley's best years at State were with DL as OC. You Husker boys are going to see a increase in your TE production for sure.

One play comes to mind...

QB rollout right, TE drag left...throwback left to a wide open TE one on one with a pursuing LB to beat.... with the receivers on the left side clearing out the left zone for the TE.

Of course this play depends on the defense read of man to man.

Point is... Riley/Langendorf are masters at isolation plays on specific defenses. With Braska talent and depth it will be interesting to see the results. One other thing to expect from these two guys are screen passes to counter pressure defenses...none better than these two guys. They were the best in PAC when it came to screen passes. They had to be, States O-lines were typically weak and vulnerable to pressure from stronger defenses.

Congrats on your new OC.

I have been screaming for TE play for years. We haven't had a good TE since Pierce Nebraska native Matt Heroin.

If it's only 1 thing that our QB learns, throwing the fucking screen where our guys can catch it without doing an aerial 360, it will be an epic improvement

We've had a good one since, just don't use them. Kyler Reed is one that comes to mind. Even Carter this year showed signs of being pretty good, just never threw to them much.

Curious to see how R_A spins this into another "hiring your buddies" rant.

The Gilbride family has a history of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease. Kevin Gilbride's father died from it in 1972 at the age of 45, and he has a brother and sister who needed transplants. Those were more routine, Gilbride said, but Laurie required some special genetic needs from her donor.

Langsdorf was coaching at Oregon State at the time of the donation and was good friends with another coach on staff, Mike Cavanaugh. That was Laurie's husband.

That's awesome. I can see donating for family, but to someone unrelated is the epitome of selflessness. Quality man right there.

LOL THAT was fucking dumb. :L

To spin something, one has to reach a little. There's no need to even reach here.

Scott Frost. LMAO!!!!!

Nuttin but a "butterball" calling Helfrich's plays.

I can't see why everyone's all excited about Frost. His cherry hasn't been popped yet in the coaching ranks. I would take Langendorf all day over Frost.

Thanks for the insight Wally.

I'm more concerned with Banker. We don't need another Cosgrove.

Bill Callahan came in here with a flash offense that could do all the things you described, but his buddy Cosgrove he brought along to oversee the defense couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag.

It is LANGSDORF, Mr. Oregon State.

Here is a link to Danny Langendorf images, whoever they might be.

I could talk for days about MB Brasky. Sure I will, Good DC heading for a HC job at some point in his life. My ONLY PROB with Banker is sticking to his gameplan to long, but that was at State...not at your campus.

As for DLs name mis-spelling, I never could get it right even after 15 years of him. My bad there.

Scott Frost. LMAO!!!!!

Explain how he only hired him because they played poker together every Wednesday night and ignore the fact that he has actual coaching experience. You know, like you have done for the rest of his hires.

What's Frosty have to do with it?
