Some dude posted on the Facebook Husker group today that we should expect a Natty year 1 because this coach is that much better than Bo.

I read back 3 pages, I'll assume MR added Banker in as DC.

Again...Beavers were always "thin" on players and basically in'filled their starters with JC transfers. I know that aint gonna happen with the talent pool you fine Institution revolves around. Braska has ALWAYS been light years ahead of me Beavs with the exception of a few fine years around the year 2000.

Rest assured Braska boys Banker aint no cheesebag DC. As with Riley...give em the talent AND depth to survive the injury bug and I see your team taking down Oregon the next two times Riley gets to met them in your HHs.

As for your conference? Hell is coming once the kids "buy-in" to what Riley's team of coaches is selling them.

That's coming from a "newly" inspired bandwagon Husker fan...me.

I was listening to 1620 about an hour ago and they were talking about how far ahead Ohio St is than the rest of the conference. They said Nebraska needed to catch up to Wisconsin before they could think of competing with Ohio St.

The first thought that hit me was that Nebraska needed to catch up to Minnesota first. They are (2-1) against Nebraska, winning the last two.

Fair assessment. Though I am not sure if the gap is a talent issue. Mental maybe, but not talent.

I am liking where the coaches are NOT confirmed coming to

Rich Fisher still has a chance at WR coach.
Rich Kaczenski still has a chance at D Line coach.
Charleton Warren still has a chance at Secondary Coach.
Ron Brown still has a chance at Running Backs Coach.

For me, all four of them were probably the better recruiters and coaches and I am pretty sure they were on my list to start the season of coaches I wanted to stay.

"It's been a difficult week for the Oregon State football program and positive news has been scarce."

Speak for yourself dude. Riley was on the hot seat and the vast majority of knowledgeable fans were ready for a change. Riley leaving for Nebraska WAS positive news.

bbb95

Riley is gone. What could be better than that?

:L

Apparently these guys don't know how nice Riley is.
