Those that wanted change got it and many still aren't happy. I'm one of those that are still a wee bit skeptical about the hire. But who was hired was/is the anti-Bo. Will it work? Don't know. I'm just willing to let Riley try.

LOL. Someday I want to drink with TomHusker. I am serious. I think Tomhusker is an easy laugher and just joshes quite often and doesn't take too many things real serious, such as the subject of Nebraska coaches because no matter what we do, we can't change it.

I find that typically all fanbases are always 50% hate and 50% like. Right now, on the SportsHoopla the fanbase is more positive with just a few of pessimists on Nebraska. When I have been on the Oregon State articles, it is about 50/50. Scout seems to have the most active OSU board, but I am not on Scout.

When I go on the internet for reviews of whatever, it always seems there is about a 50/50 split. Now, when you find that the majority is hate, as was with Callahan, then you know the majority is probably correct.

I read back 3 pages, I'll assume MR added Banker in as DC.

Again...Beavers were always "thin" on players and basically in'filled their starters with JC transfers. I know that aint gonna happen with the talent pool you fine Institution revolves around. Braska has ALWAYS been light years ahead of me Beavs with the exception of a few fine years around the year 2000.

Rest assured Braska boys Banker aint no cheesebag DC. As with Riley...give em the talent AND depth to survive the injury bug and I see your team taking down Oregon the next two times Riley gets to met them in your HHs.

As for your conference? Hell is coming once the kids "buy-in" to what Riley's team of coaches is selling them.

That's coming from a "newly" inspired bandwagon Husker fan...me.

Okay, so I'll go ahead and ask: what is it about Banker that makes you so confident that he'll be successful here?

Well I just think its going to take time to get this ball rolling. Time we don't have to dick around. This should have been a sure thing and if not SE should have bit the bullet till someone with a better track record. A better staff lined up. Came along. Everything about this was wrong IMO. This was a SE and BO Dick measuring contest from last season. Bo got his add handed to him one to many times. I hope I am wrong but ask anyone if they think that Mike Riley is going to be able to beat Urban and win big ten championships like he was brought here to do. They might look at us funny.

Oh wait, he did that with Oregon Freaking State. I think he's got a decent shot of handing Urban.

Coach Riley won't be able to handle Urban Meyer anytime soon, but in all fairness to him, Meyer is a 2 or 3 levels better than Carroll was. If you don't believe me, go back and see what he did after two of his starting QBs were injured for this season.

I would bet that it had more to do with the QB's than with Urbie's coaching. Those guys were studs from the start.
