Brasky IF Taylor Martinez is a STARTING Quaterback in the NFL. I do hope you are kidding in that previous post, but if you were somehow serious in that statement and IF he is, I will don a Nebraska avatar of your choosing for an entire year.

Ok now I know you didn't watch any of his games.

As a true Freshman he threw for 3,706 yds and 26 TD's with a 68% completion percentage.

The TAMU offense is not a half-field read system. He is required to read the entire field.

I love that we live in a day and age where we are making automatic judgments about a players NFL ability before they even start their Sophomore year. :L

He wasn't a true freshman, but a RS Freshman and that is why he is eligble for the NFL draft after this year.

The TAMU offense is a quick read system for Johnny. A quick throw, or a tuck and run.

Lets see how he does without a rock at Left Tackle first and foremost. And without his blanket in Ryan Swope.

Jake Matthews will be able to fill Joeckel shoes pretty well. He also still has his leading WR from last year (as a freshman), Evans.

Wow. A half-field read system compared to an entire read field system?

Damn, you got it all covered right there.

Did Tom Osborne sign your hat today?

Tell me again your prowess in football?

Jake was right Tackle last year.

He'll fill Joeckel's shoes, but who will fill Jake's shoes?

Evans is a great WR. But he doesn't play the slot to replace Swope

Ogbuehi, who played guard last year will slide over to RT.

As for Swope's replacement, Derel Walker looked good in the spring game and has great hands. My money is on him.

He has a rock at Left Tackle by the name of Jake Matthews.

Ryan Swope was actually a RB that Sherman converted to a WR. A&M is really deep at WR and RB. Deeper than last year.

JFF became a better passer as the season went on. He went back west to train with George Whitfield again over the summer working on being a better passer.

A&M offense is evolving will be better. I'm worried about DEFENSE.

He's a redshift sophomore this year but academically he's a senior and will probably be drafted. NFL is trending toward this type of QB. I bet it will be a while before he starts.

Treatin' ya with kid gloves.

But since you are the self-proclaimed expert, why don't you just explain everything about everything to me.

Clearly you know it all.

Do you even lift bro? Did you even play varsity?

You sound like a washed HS quarterback who's a wannabe HS head coach.

Manziel will definitely get drafted, just depends on how he finishes his career at A&M. I think if you go off last season, he's a second to third rounder, but if he comes out this season and puts his arm on display a little more, I believe he could get himself in that 1st round.

You have to think that teams drafting a QB early are in desperate need a good starting QB, and I'm not sure how many of those teams are willing to go for a running QB of his size, or I should say, take that risk.

It is basic immaturity stuff. His SEC media comments will raise some questions. There is a chance he goes 3-4th rnd, because of his apparent immaturity. NFL takes a lot worse kids than Manziel

Oh yeah, this is 100% spot on.

Randy Moss had legal trouble over a drug issue and was a first round pick.

Aaron Hernandez had some legal issues in college and was still drafted.

Hell, Lawrence Phillips was a first-round pick.

It would be fair to speculate whether Manziel will make it in the NFL but questioning whether he is going to be drafted?

He'd have to be crippled or dead not to get drafted.

Absolutely he will get drafted! Not as a #1 or even in the first round, but he gets drafted!
Even if he flops his sophmore year(which I think he doesnt come close to last years performance)he will go pretty high in the draft, based on freshman season alone!
Too many NFL teams are wanting to play Offense in the style of RG3 today and Johnny Football fit that mold to the T !

I for one, think he has the ole soph slump this season and Defenses will know him now because of what DC like John Chavis was able to him last season
