Last October I thought we would contend for a WS appearance. Now I dont think we are even gonna make the playoffs.

Right now I would guess 83-79/84-78 type team. Just hope Touki and Kyle Wright get some experience this year

I believe I called 84 wins & 3rd in the East a couple of weeks back.

I don't believe a word the FO says anymore. They should go sign Kuechel and break camp with Fried and Touki.

I'm actually happy with AA on the rotation to start the year seeing that Folty and Gausman will start the season on the DL.

Julio became the opening day starter by default, but they put Bryse Wilson as the second start, Kyle Wright as the third and Pussy Newcomb all the way down as the 4th starter.

I'm gonna make a bold prediction and say Newcomb will be one of the odd men out when Folty and Gausman return.

Him being the 4th starter tells me he wouldn't have made the opening day roster had Folty and Gausman been ready(Gausman started today and pitched well, but he'll need to get stretched out a bit)

I'm glad they're going with the best options(well, except Pache, but service time and all that).

But Newk has had a lot of 2 strikeout, 5 walk outings this Spring. Spring training doesn't really matter in the long run, but when you were notorious for nibbling and walking way too many batters last season, it's not a good look.

I know it's just spring training, but it's against a pitcher that has long been a pain in the ass for us, if this is what our offense is gonna look like this year, we're gonna be ok.
