I like Byrd. I like Jeff too. But Joe has been there since I was like 15 so it sucks.

Him being the 4th starter tells me he wouldn't have made the opening day roster had Folty and Gausman been ready(Gausman started today and pitched well, but he'll need to get stretched out a bit)

I'm glad they're going with the best options(well, except Pache, but service time and all that).

But Newk has had a lot of 2 strikeout, 5 walk outings this Spring. Spring training doesn't really matter in the long run, but when you were notorious for nibbling and walking way too many batters last season, it's not a good look.

fwiw, I still think a lot of us downplay Folty and Gaus. I think they're tremendous

Really encouraged by Dansby's spring. Honestly, I'm hoping they stick to more of an Inciarte/Camargo platoon and just slide Acuna over to center against lefties and have Camargo play left. Especially with Matt Joyce making the team as an extra outfielder. He might be worse than Inciarte at hitting lefties.
