Even though he’s pitches two gems against the Cardinals this season? I just find it odd that the anti Julio crowd beats their chest when he has a bad start, but are oddly silent when he pitches ahem, and there’s been far more gems than bad starts this season

Most starts allowing 1 earned run or fewer in a season for the Braves since Greg Maddux in 01. I feel comfortable with any of our 5 starters(I don't know if I've ever been able to say that). Keuchel is getting the ball in game 1, and I've never felt more confident in any statement I've made.

Honestly, Julio was pretty damn impressive coming out of the bullpen last year in the NLDS, so I wouldn't mind him going out of the pen. I have to assume we're going with a 4 man rotation in the playoffs, because really all 5 have been pretty awesome here lately. Fried has struggled the most, but when he's on, he has the best strikeout stuff, and strikeouts are huge in the playoffs, and he leads the world in run support, and I've never complained about a 7-5 win.

I agree for the most part but I would replace Ender with Tomlin,Dayton, or Luke. Do we really need that many pitchers? Possibly Blevins because he is a lefty

I imagine since we are pretty much locked into the #2 seed that Acuna is gonna attempt a steal no matter what every time he gets on base the rest of the way

Why 3 catchers??

Because its not about defensively. For the most part, in the five game series, you're probably only going to use two/three players from your bench in the field. Cervelli is one of the better and more experienced bats.

With that said, I would bet Duvall over Cervelli. Gives them more flexibility when they face left handed pitching. They'll typically bench Joyce and play Riley or Duvall. And i don't think they take Adeiny or Billy out of the lineup. Adeiny has been a solid bat and Billy is obviously a big weapon in late innings.

Also depends if how many bullpen arms they use. Wouldn't be surprised if Tomlin or Dayton don't make it
