I’d be good with that. He’s got more electric stuff than melancon. But I’m cool with melancon getting several opportunities as well if he pitches to his potential

True, but you need to be consistent with it. I like the guy, so this isn't a shot, but Donaldson never runs out grounders, and he's had his fair share of settling for singles on balls hit off the wall. Does he get treated different because he's a veteran?

I think it’s because he has a history of calf/leg injuries so they want him to take it easy when he can

I think that has more to do with the fact that JD has a recent history of leg injuries, plus he's no speedster. Same goes for catchers.

Guys like Acuna, Ozzie, Dansby etc should be running as fast as possible every time

I agree. It's kind of a bad look when Freddie and Nick run out everything and the young, fast guys don't.
