I don't think Acuna will make it to 40-40. I think he gets 40 homers, but you can't steal a base if you hit the ball over the fence.

And honestly, stealing bases is one of the most common plays that players get hurt on, especially given Acuna slides head first a lot, and with Markakis and Dansby being sideline, we can't afford another big injury.

Though I think Dansby is just a candy ass at this point, it's a God damned contusion. I wanted nothing to do with Anibal Sanchez last season after he left that game against the Nats because of a contusion. If a fucking contusion is gonna sideline you for weeks, it might be time to see how much value we can get for him in the offseason. We don't need soft, brittle bitches on this team.

Acuna having 79 RBIs mostly hitting leadoff is ridiculous.

He leads the NL in hits, runs and stolen bases. Though the fact that 26 stolen bases in min August is enough to lead the NL makes me a little sad.

But the national baseball writers are all enjoying tossing the salads of Yelich & Bellinger so much that they’re not even mentioning what Acuña is doing.

That loss for the Nats last night could be one that sinks them. It wasn't a walk off grand slam, but they had a 3 run lead in the bottom of the 9th, and the game was tied on a 3 run homer, and then lost later in the inning on a walkoff hit.
