Other than the time when his wrist was bothering him and the time coming back from the wrist getting his timing back, Dansby has been solid this season both with the bat and the glove.

It's not stupid or irrational.

He's a solid player, but I don't think he'll ever be the superstar we thought he was gonna be before he got called up. But there's nothing wrong with being an excellent fielding shortstop with a solid bat. Also, he seems to do his best work in high leverage situations, so that helps his cause.

I see Dansby as a .280ish hitter with
10-15HRs a year and solid defense. Not quite #1 overall numbers but a solid player.
