I don't know how you don't. I can see if we were sucking again this year, might as well ride it out, but this team looks like it has potential, and the 9th inning hasn't been easy at all this season, and it hasn't since we traded Kimbrel.

Maybe Winkler can't handle the role, but he's earned a shot at it.

Carle probably has too, but I don't know if I've seen a pitcher better at cleaning up messes created by other pitchers.

And this is a show me start for McCarthy. He'd better have a quality start, or it should be his last for us.

Really though, we're fortunate that the bullpen hasn't cost us more games.

We've won every game but 2(both against the Cubs) when leading after 7 innings, but when you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.

I'm thinking if we're still in contention, we'll trade for Herrera from the Royals. Maybe even Zack Britton, who probably wouldn't cost as much.
