Might be able to move him in a larger deal. Possibly eat some of his money, but as you said, he is relatively cheap for what he is. Maybe a "change of scenery" trade with someone similar to him in ability/salary. Then DFA their ass!

I'd be fine with that, but at the same time, if he's the number 4 starter, I'm fine with that too. He is what he is, excellent some nights, terrible in others and not much middle ground.

That was the case last year, he's far more unpredictable this year. He was awesome against the Brewers on Saturday.

If his fastball is 90-92 and his slider is working, he has a good night. Any slower or any faster on the fastball or if he can't locate the slider, he gets hit around.

When he's bad, he gets shelled. He doesn't have the ability to gut through it when he doesn't have everything working and keep the game manageable.

If his fast ball gets much faster than 92, it's too straight, if it's under 90, it's like a beachball. He's gotta sit in that 90-92 range and have his slider working.
