We have to do something with this bullpen. You could have done batting practice lobs right there to the opposing relief pitcher and got an out, but instead, you hit him. If your control is that bad, you don't belong in the Majors.

Peter Bourjos is fucking worthless. I would rather have Folty pinch hit than him right there. He swings hard, so at least when he does make contact, it might go somewhere. It's a fucking shame that we kept him on the big club over Lane Adams.

And Ravin might have blew it in the end, but shame on the offense too. They managed a total of one hit against the Mets bullpen in 6 innings. Pathetic.

And we blew 2 saves in the extra inning game we did win.

Hard to win close games when you can't rely on your bullpen.

There's a reason why we only have one save on the year and why we've only won 3 games by less than 4 runs(the opening day walkoff, the one extra inning win and the 2-1 win of the Phillies where they stranded about a million runners)

Really, 11-8 at this point is pretty damn good all things considered. I didn't expect to be over .500 at this point. Especially considering the schedule. Every team we've played this year either has a winning record this year or made the playoffs last year. So we're beating good teams, and hopefully when the Reds and Marlins come up, we can take advantage.

But it's frustrating as hell knowing we could be better if we had even an average bullpen.

And it would have been nice to clinch a split in this series with deGrom going tomorrow. Syndergaard has never beat us. We've beat deGrom a few times, but he's been dominant against us. The games we beat him, he got no run support.

Julio has to be as effective tonight as he was his last start for us to have any shot. deGrom is a tough customer.
