Christian Pache and that Encarnacion prospect we have each got pulled from their games in the middle of a half inning last night. Thought a trade was gonna be announced.

Camargo is fine as our everyday third baseman, so we don't need Moustakas or Machado(who has said pretty clearly that he only wants to play shortstop now anyways). Unless it's a bench upgrade or JT Realmuto, we really don't need to trade for position players.

We need a couple of good relievers and maybe a veteran starting pitcher.

I'd give up a couple of them for JT Realmuto or deGrom since they wouldn't be rentals.

They won't be sellers. They'll completely deplete their already baren farm system trying to make one more run at it. And then they can watch their window completely close in the offseason when they lose Harper, Murphy and Gio Gonzalez because they're paying Strasburg over 30 million a season to be a part timer.

They probably just fondly reminisced about the better times under Dusty Baker. Dusty gets a bit of a bad rep IMO. The guy takes his teams to the playoffs most every year, and then the teams seem to fall apart after he leaves.

Giants, Cubs, Reds and now it looks like the Nats.

It would be the smart thing to do, but I wouldn't bank on it. They're gonna be like the Phillies were at the end of their run and start rebuilding 3 years after they should have trying to make that one last push.

I hated it at the time but after seeing the Cubs,Astros, and Now us.....Us rebuilding was 100% the right thing to do.
