We let Roger Mcdowell go for Chuck Hernandez.

I vaguely remember blowing that 10-1 lead at Coors Field, which sucked, but that was at Coors Field.

This was the worst collapse I have ever seen the Braves have outside of the 2011 Wild Card collapse.

I've seen us give up big innings before, but I don't know if I've ever seen us walk or hit so many batters in an inning.

Probably best if tomorrow's game is rained out. Whole team will need a day to regroup from this.

Hopefully Acuna will be joining the team on Monday so there will be a new topic of discussion.

Id rather have Fredi Gonzalez back than put up with Snitker.

Snitker isn't a good MLB manager, but when Snit manages a team that blows an 8.5 game lead in a playoff race in September, I might say I'd take Fredi back over him.

Bobby Cox held on about 5 seasons too long, and had he retired just 1 season earlier, I truly believe Ned Yost would still be our manager.

I always thought we were gonna try and get Yost when Bobby retired.

Also Weiss and Wash are both better options. Hell, I would rather take Jim Johnson back as closer than havs Snit manage.

He wasn't gonna leave KC after one season.

Snit is a great MILB coach, and a good bench coach in the Majors, but he's not MLB HC material. Given the time he has with the organization, I'd hate to fire him, but I'm all for demoting him back to his MILB coaching role, or enticing him to retire.

It just pisses me off that we have a championship caliber offense and its gonna be wasted.

It sucks, definitely, but when you starters are only giving you 5 innings and your middle relief sucks, bad things will happen. I didn't expect anything of this caliber, but really, I'm shocked that it has taken the bullpen this long to give up crooked numbers. They've been playing with fire all season with all the walks, and it came to a head in a big way today.

But if we don't get some middle relievers, this whole torturous rebuilding process will all be for nothing, and Freddie Freeman's prime years will have all been wasted.

Also Im no Genius but....4 years into this rebuild shouldnt at least 1 of those pitchers we stockpiled be a solid starter in the MLB??

Definitely. This is a big time prove it year for Folty, and Newcomb too, but it pisses me off that after all the pieces we've acquired, our top prospects and those that look like centerpieces of the future have all been home grown minus Swanson and Inciarte.

So, basically we could have just traded Heyward and then traded Miller and let Kimbrel, Justin Upton, Gattis, etc play out their deals and we'd be in the exact same boat, and maybe been a bit more competitive these last few years.

Keep in mind in this scenario, Alex Wood would still be a Brave.

If they can pull it off, I'd be all for it. While I like Camargo and think he's a fine placeholder, he's not the third baseman of the future. And I'd be all for trading Markakis. Preston Tucker might have a future here, Markakis doesn't. Get something for him if you can.

Ive given up on Folty. I still have hope for Newk because despite usually walking at least 4 or 5 of the other teams batter he stills goves quality outings for the most part.

Riley is our future 3B.

I have faith in Folty. He was pretty damn good for a long stretch last season and he hasn't been bad this season.

His stuff is too good for me to give up on. He's the opposite of Teheran though, he's good at home, bad on the road.
