Tomorrow might be McCarthy's last as a Brave. Soroka is here to stay and Teheran comes back on Sunday.

McCarthy has some good games, but he has a lot of stinkers mixed in too.

We might put him in the Bullpen and give him a spot start every 2 weeks and then try to use him at the deadline for a BP arm.

Or put him on the Phantom DL.

I don't think he'd make much of a reliever, and I doubt he'd be willing to take the roll.

And I don't think a contending team would trade away a quality reliever for him, and a non contending team won't want a 34 year old mediocre pitcher in return for any valuable piece they have.

If we trade him it'll be for a low level prospect that'll probably never make the big club.

We have areal opportunity with possibly the lightest part of the schedule here to build up some breathing room.

Tuesday's game against the Mets was the first of 14 straight against teams with losing record. We need to take advantage. Good start.
