Martin Hanzal has 16 goals and 26 points in 51 games this season. The Wild gave up one first round pick and at least one second round pick to acquire him.

Thomas Vanek had 14 goals and 29 points after 51 games last season. The Wild bought him out at the end of the season.

Can't underestimate what Ryan White brings to the Wild's fourth line though.

Why is Zach Parisse on the third line for the Wild? Bad coaching or matching lines?

One part wanting to roll 3 lines, one part he's not very good anymore.

Is he having that bad of a year this year?

I didn't keep him in our FH league, so I haven't paid him much attention this year. I noticed the Wild's lines when watching them the other night and wondered what was going on.

Hearing about Shane Doan at the trade deadline is like hearing election returns for Green Party candidates. It just doesn't fucking matter.

I fear it might be a perfect storm of Doanability here in Columbus. They are arcing high which typically happens the year before a Torts flameout, that has to be on management's mind. They have built an identity of being a sandpaper team and the coach talks about leadership, sticking up for each other and grit.

And they have three guys they don't want to lose for nothing in the expansion draft (Korpi, Anderson and Johnson). All three of which are replaceable from inside, to varying degrees.

He has full NMC. I'm guessing he's waiting on an offer from a sure-as-shit contender, which means he will remain with the Coyotes and retire (we hope).

Couldn't agree more.

I would hope for a Devils firesale but not sure they have what any team wants.

Camm killed his trade value, I'd take whatever I can to get him off the books.

Parenteau makes the most sense, would love to get a 2nd like we did for Stempniak last season.

Kyle Quincey's name keeps getting mentioned, I can't imagine why.

Outside of that we have bottom 6 filler, crap and guys that are signed longterm that we won't part with.

For the longest time, I wanted Squidy back, but it appears that the magic has left his mittens. I think the Devs would have to be willing to eat some significant salary to find somebody to take him.

I'll give him this, his daughter was real sick early i n the season and that screwed him up, he was never able to get back on track after that. A change of scenery/talented linemates may spark him but yeah, the magic may be gone.

Speaking of former Flames, there seems to be a groundswell building for bringing wait for it, wait for it, Iggy! back to Calgary.

Parenteau is on a slower scoring pace than he was last year when the Leafs couldn't get squat for him and held onto him at the deadline.

If the Devils get a second for him now I'm egging Lou's house.
