reports say he will look at anything (any team) now

I think it would behoove (YES BEHOOVE!!!!) Miltsy to accept other teams ... goalie market is dead right now ... his options are VERY slim right now this offseason ... barring a shitty John Gibson playoff performance (which is a possibility i guess), he will not be in Anaheim July 1 ... he needs other teams to need/want him otherwise he will be looking at Jimbos number on his call display July 1

I see him going to FLA.

I will let others speculate on which G goes back. . .

Is Miller better than Elliott? I think he is, even though Elliott has played much better as of late. It could help the Flames make the playoffs, would the Canucks be willing to take Elliott back though?

/plus a draft pick or prospect

I think taking elliott for the rest of the season is ok ... helps with a tank ... thats doing cgy a favour though ... the bold is what its all about

Ah yes, the Weisbrod effect (not to be confused with the Wideman effect).

/The funny thing is the team that could really use Miller is Edmonton, Talbot is running on fumes.

not just that ... they have a propensity/history (however short) of taking on guys already in the middle of pro development, drafted high-ish with high return or high bust potential

From the Flames' perspective they already spent a second rounder on a goalie for this season. How much more are they willing to give up only to be left sans-goalie this summer (unless they re-sign Miller)? Tough spot to be in.

I don't think it's going to happen, to be honest, as stated above, Elliott appears to have found his game of late and Johnson is what he is (a backup that can give Elliott a breather when needed). I'd rather have Treliving focus on getting some more help up front.

Happy the Leafs didn't wind up with Brendan Smith. They need a d-man but I can't see what he adds. Maybe Alain knows something.

Believe the Ottawa Senators are getting Viktor Stalberg from the Carolina Hurricanes. Checking on details.

Edit: Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Viktor Stalberg to the Senators for a 3rd in 2017

Stalberg has as many goals the last two seasons as Burrows and came without the need of a contract extension (with limited NTC) or giving up a decent prospect.

Happy the Wings got a 3rd rounder this year and a 2nd rounder next year for him. That's more than I thought he would bring in.

Brendan Smith was on the 2010 Frozen Four Wisconsin team with McDonaugh and Stepan. Maybe those guys put in a good word for him.
