It doesnt sound like miltsy is going anywhere anyways unless he expands his trade list
Colonization of the Americas is widely considered to have been an act of genocide these days. Making an "infected blanket" joke is no different than one about Jews and ovens.Lol really? Fake outrage strikes again i guess

Wasnt a tweet. Miltsy said it in a scrum. Interesting that farhan lalji at tsn tweeted then deleted it but tsn ran the clip on thats hockey
Mind showing me where I said it would hurt his trade value, sport?Yah sure distasteful ... and it will hurt his trade value? Bruce arthur level cause effect analysis there
I have no idea but I do know it's probably something public figures should maybe avoid joking about. While this probably doesn't excuse whatever joke it was that Miller made anyway (I haven't seen the actual tweet since it's been pulled), hasn't the "smallpox blankets for the Natives" story already been largely debunked at this point?

Me too. Sitting at the arena drinking some beers with Mattola.Always going to remember where i was when that happened.
Sitting in my brothers Apartment. 10 at night. We nearly created a ruckus

And shortly thereafter standing, jumping and yelling, and being suffocated by the lovely lovely young ladies sitting in the row above us.

I still have those pics puck. That was such a GREAT night
Can't underestimate what Ryan White brings to the Wild's fourth line though.
Mumps?
Sounds like Shattenkirk is going to DC.
Caps are definitely ALL IN.
I don't hate it, but it also seems like a bit of overkill. The Caps are stacked throughout their lineup, I'll admit it. There are a few teams that can beat them if everything clicks - Penguins, obviously - but they control their own fate against anybody. If they are firing on all cylinders, it would take a herculean effort to beat them.
Obviously, adding a quality top pairing guy helps you out, just don't know if I would have done that when it wasn't a glaring need, at that price. I wonder if they didn't partially do it to make sure the Pens couldn't - I know they were talking to St. Louis as well, and probably needed him more.
Don't like giving up a 1st round pick in any deal, but I can't say I'm upset with this deal. In fact, I'd say I like it a whole lot. A week ago I don't think the caps would've made a trade, but Orpik and Niskanen have minor injuries and have missed the last two games. Instead Taylor Chorney and Aaron Ness played. Chorney is a solid #7 defenseman, but Aaron Ness is probably at best a top pairing at the AHL level. Two injuries and our outlook of how strong our defense was in depth and injuries can come in waves sometimes.
Trade ended up as Shattenkirk for 2017 1st round pick, 2018 2nd round, and Zach Sanford. The fact they didn't have to trade Vrana or Bowey is already a plus. Plus we payed less for Shattenkirk than what was payed for in the Hanzal deal.
