Of course they can, but what makes those shit while your "people" are on point?

You very well may be right on Wilson, he's only got 1 school in the north that he's considering so the odds would be in your favor.
Let's just say I know some things about Mr Franklin that give him the edge. He is willing to do some things others aren't. PSU will be trying to use SEC tactics.

They're in great shape thusfar, no doubt. I think top 10 is very likely for them, and #3 in the B1G seems very likely. Things are looking great in Happy Valley, which is shocking considering it was only 4 months ago that Franklin was on the hot seat.

No doubt. I hate to say it, but I think Bama and OSU are a lock to beat PSU in recruiting next year already. I also think Michigan is a near lock, and the way USC finished last year probably makes them a lock (that is if all the teams don't have something major happen to them in the next 12 months). UGA, Clemson, and FSU are also probably near locks to beat PSU in 2018. 2019 and beyond, PSU may make a run in recruiting against those above teams. Right now, it's going to take more than 1-2 good seasons to make PSU a recruiting powerhouse.

So you're saying PSU is cheating?

Exactly. Until further notice, the machines at Bama, OSU, FSU, michigan, LSU, and UGA are the kings. PSU has a long way to go. #1 national recruiting classes don't just pop up out of nowhere like that.

Yes, not fully blatant. But a lot of southern guys have suspected it even when he was at vandy.
Very interesting. Well, at any rate, I'll believe it when I see it. He can oversign all he wants, but as OSU is proving, we're able to beat out every SEC team outside of Bama even when we have a small class.

I forgot about Clemson too! It would be impressive if PSU cracked in the top 7-8 class next year.

We proved that this year also. But I think Michigan is just going to target the big 3 states now. Pep and Frey have connections in Florida, Texas and Cali. I don't think they are going to recruit Ga, Miss and LA as hard, even though Otis Reese is a commit, mainly due to the Lee County Solomon connection.

Believe it or not, Clemson only has 3 classes in the last decade that are even top 10, with 9th being their highest rated class in that time frame (one 9th, two 10th).

All their classes are small. They don't oversign or process kids.

I think OSU has shown that Georgia's borders are pretty weak over the last few years. We've pulled several studs from that state - Bradley Roby, Vonn Bell, Kwon come to mind right away. I'll just wish you good luck in Texas, as we've planted our flags pretty firmly there for a few years now. Florida and Cali have more than enough talent for us both to poach a few each year. LA is a tough state if you're not Bama, it would seem. If you guys choose to ignore Ohio and Pennsylvania, I'm cool with that. You can have Jersey and we'll still claim Maryland.

I was assuming a national title game loss last year and a national time win this year would easily jump them into the top 10 in 2018.
