Why? Los Angeles is the biggest market in the NBA.
Because it's most likely going to be a blowout like the majority of Clippers/Lakers games have been for the past 2 or 3 years? Christmas Day games are supposed to be entertaining. I doubt this one will be.

You still can't say you'd rather see Lakers/Clippers than something like Clippers/Rockets, Clippers/Warriors or Clippers/Spurs (which is what it should be, if they want ratings.)

LAKERS/CLIPPERS will still get a decent number.

The Lakers are still the preminent and top NBA franchise.
Their popularity transcends win/losses. They are at a diffrent level than a typical NBA teams.

Every year the best possible NBA finals for the health and profile of the league would be LAKERS vs LAKERS.
I dont know why people are afraid to accept this fact.

Heck, they still probably have the most fans last year even in a ridiculous down year.
Some franchises like the Yankees, Cowboys, and Lakers will always be a relevant draws.

You clearly don't know how rivalries and TV ratings work. :L

Sure. He's a solid backup for 18-20mpg (defender and rebounder) behind Hibbert and he's a lot better than Sacre.

I'd prefer Tarik Black as a back up to Hibbert over McGee

I don't know how to feel about that. Even as a back up. He's injury prone a lot and appears on Shaqtin a Fool a lot too for obvious reasons!

I'd rather stick with Sacre TBH

Seriously? Wow.

Sacre is one of the worst players in the league.

Go get Brendan Haywood as well.

The three headed monster of teasing big man potential for the last decade. (Hibbert, McGee, Haywood)

The Lakers have tons of scoring in Kobe, Clarkson, Randle, Russell, Williams, and Young......they just need Hibbert and McGee to defend the basket and rebound.

Seriously? Wow.

Sacre is one of the worst players in the league.

He's a 3rd choice Center who makes less than $1m a year. Before the injuries happened the last two seasons, he was playing garbage-time minutes.

We don't need to replace a 5 minute-per-game guy!

It's possibly/likely, Kobe's last season. Chances are, the Lakers will be on national t.v. a lot more than just about any other team coming off a 21 win season would.

JaVale McGee and Swaggy p on the same roster? Are the Lakers trying to see if Kobe will actually kill somebody? :noidea:

I think people will be very surprised, I think the Lakers will be a lot more competitive this season. They may not win a lot of games (I'm guessing 33-35 or so) but they'll be in a lot of games.

*Tries to forget I split an order of cheese bacon fries with my son and had a chili cheeseburger at Johnny Rockets yesterday after watching Southpaw*
