Come on man.....use the internet search function. If six years or less, then can command 25% of cap. If 6 to 9, then 30% of cap, and 35% of the cap for more than 9 yars. Hence why different players have different maxs!

Don't care enough about the NBA to search.

How the fuck do the cavs have a cap allowing them to offer 25 mil more for the same amount of years with Tristan fucking Thompson getting 80 mil, shumpert getting 40 and God only know what LeBron will get.

And why was it said that the Bulls could match any offer for butler than? What if Cleveland went 125 mil on him instead.

There is no sane justification for paying Shumpert 10 million or Thompson 20 million..

Even the most homerish Cavs fan would admit that is beyond insanely stupid.

Well you haven't been paying attention to these boards then.

What are the Sixers doing, like seriously. They got like 8 PF's and centers.

3 centers that are top 10 picks. They have like $50 mil in cap space (not sure what it is now).

What a mess

Restricted Free Agent which means the team you were with can offer you the most money and most years

O I thought it just meant that the team always had their chance to match the deal.

Home team can always offer the most money and years. Restricted free agent means other teams can offer contracts to the free agent, but if said free agent signs with another team, the home team can match the offer and the FA stays. Unrestricted free agents can sign with another team with no chance of the home team matching to keep him in town. However, even unrestricted free agents can make more money on a longer contract with the home team.

IMO a Rondo-Monta-Gay-Cousins quartet sounds like a fucking trainwreck.

So Curry is currently the sixth highest paid player on Golden State.....reigning MVP and champion. Really no excuse for anyone else to complain.

This is nothing more than a show of who has the most cash to flash. A bunch of rich older White guys seeing who has the bigger equipment. Some of these deals are completely laughable. Can't blame the players if some idiots want to give them ship loads of cash for what bench players and semi-stiffs?

So Lakers fucked up another meeting it seems? This time with Jordan

Apparently so, bksballer, if you believe the reports. Apparently with Aldridge, Kobe basically presented every reason why he SHOULDN'T sign with the Lakers and Scott didn't provide any wow factor. With D. Jordon, it was the collective wierdness of the Buss family. With Gasol, that disinterest happened along time ago. So for a FA signing concerned with bigs, they are down to Monroe and one of the Lopez brothers. Maybe they should just let Mitch take it from here. lol.

why did Kobe present Lakers that way? Did he not want Aldridge in LA?
