There is no sane justification for paying Shumpert 10 million or Thompson 20 million..

Even the most homerish Cavs fan would admit that is beyond insanely stupid.
Tristan Thompson at 20 million seems based purely on projection. He certainly hasnt earned that beyond what he did in the playoffs

Who was paying TT 16 million to come off the bench? I would love to know.

Paying a bench player that is beyond stupid. Teams who would have paid him that would have him as their starting PF at least

We all know why they were paid what they were.
It's the price Gilbert will always have to pay even though James forgave him for his rant/letter.:finger2:

Windhorst said right now it is looking like 5 yr between 80 and 90 mill. Close enough to 20.

He would basically be getting Butler and Leonard money to be a bench player

You clearly missed my point.

Point was if any other team gave him that much money, he would be a starter on that team. Cavs are paying him that money to be a bench player which is ridiculous

No I understand, but if other teams paid him he would be starting. He is still going to get 30-35 minutes, so basically like a sixth man. I am not defending the contract, bc I think it is too high.

He would be starting for a lot of teams, most teams

And those teams wouldn't be very good if LeBron wasn't on it,
He's a role playing making near max money because he signed with James' agent.
Let's get past the bullshit and just acknowledge what's really happening.

Next lockout is going to get real nasty.

Problem is, damage is already done.
These owners can't back track on any current contract.

Only way to restore order might be by coming up with a system closer to the NFL's.

Agree...comical. It was The Cavs owner and Suns owner who wanted a hard cap......funny how hyprocritical they come off now. They really do need protection from themselves.

Barea leaning towards the Heat which means Napier or Chalmers would likely be traded

I can agree with that. Doesnt really matter it all falls on Gilbert. And he deserves it.

who cares if he is not the technical starter? he plays starters minutes and is in during crunch time. Mozgov start but he will not play 30 minutes and usually doesnt finish games.

Spot on Andresrenee. The rich older White guys are getting a stiffy throwing gobs of money at bench players. Probably fap to finish the whole affair.

Now you want to hear something funny. The Heat and Cavs could help each other out. The Heat could send Chalmers and Nappier to the Cavs in exchange for Haywards contract that the Heat would dump if Micky does not want to heavy into the luxury tax. Barea to the Heat likely means bye, bye Chalmers and Napier.

Haywood for Terrence Ross and Greivis Vazquez would be the best possible trade I can think of for hte Cavs....that would be perfect...

they could just wait until the vet min guys come ring chasing and call it a summer if they could pull that off....

Also- if the Rockets needed to clear cap room Ariza for Haywood would be nice as well....

I have even heard that the Clips want cap room and Reddick or Crawford could be had.

But, but Lebron could have his whipping boy in Chalmers and Napier. Don't put it past GM/Owner Lebron to make peace with the Heat......

How are these bench guys getting 30-35 minutes?
There's 240 to spread throughout the game.

Let's say James, Kyrie, Love use near half of them. Say 115.

That leaves you with 125 to divide between Moz, Tristan, Andy, your other starting guard and whoever else comes off the bench.

So the Cavs have about $36 million tied up in one position and Cavs fans think this is a good idea?

Vazquez is not with Toronto.

Highly doubt Houston give up on Ariza after 1 year and be left without a SF in a weak SF market already.
