From Article 46 of the NFL CBA:

...involving action taken against a player by the Commissioner for conduct detrimental to the integrity of, or public confidence in, the game of professional football...

So, yeah, I guess he could suspend his ass. He could also suspend Ray McDonald, whom is somehow inexplicably not being roasted like the other two despite the fact his charges are probably worse than the other two combined.

This also caught my eye, both in relation to Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson. From Section 4, the "One Penalty Rule":

The Commissioner and a Club will not both discipline a player for the same act or conduct. The Commissioner’s disciplinary action will preclude or supersede disciplinary action by any Club for the same act or conduct.

So while the rage being thrown at the Vikings is understandable, if they were to discipline him they would be precluding disciplinary action from the league.

I read that clause to mean more that if the Vikings suspend him for 4 games and the league suspends him for 6, he doesn't get 10 games, just that he gets only the 6 that the league imposed since they override the team punishment.

I read it as you can't be suspended by both bodies for the same infraction. Could be the other way, though.

Leaves an ambiguity as to if the league can suspend you twice for the same infraction, though. Probably why Rice has a shot of being reinstated.

So you have the Cowboys AND Patriots as favorite teams?

Congratulations, Jeff Sly. I think your teasing has come to an end. ;)

I fail to see your point.

I'll like who ever I want to like. And as many of them as I wish.

I've got 8 NFL towels and 9 NFL freezer mugs (2 Dallas).

I also like Detroit Red Wings and Deadmonton Oilers.

Sue me.

I get it, but that's a lot of teams. I have 1 NFL team. 2 NHL teams ( Islanders & Ducks). 2 Baseball teams ( Padres & Angels) & 0 NBA teams. I was once a Sixers fan.

Are the Bills for real? I know we're only 2 weeks in, but I doubt anybody expected them to be 2-0. I know I didn't. Browns fans must be a bit disappointed thus far. Anyway good luck to the Bill & their fans except this weekend against the Chargers.

I don't waste my time on MLB or NBA. So I double down on NFL and NHL....

My list is dynamic as well. Back when Dallas and SF were doninating things I liked SF too although not head to head.

Been on board Dallas since '66. But their lean years require back up teams.

I find the Pats hard to dislike. And I like Arizona as well, loved them beating Seattle at home late last year.

Originally a Blackhawks fan (Bobby Hull was the beans when I was 6 in '61). But he went to WHA and they got shitty. Liked Montreal a lot after the 1972 summit series (Savard and Lapointe), but still didn't like them beating Chicago in '71 and '73. When they stomped Philly in '76 I was on board. Dumped Montreal when the traded Chelios for Savard. But I've been born again.

Found it hard to dislike your Islanders when they took over winning 4 in a row from Habs.

Never liked Edmonton with Gretzky but liked the lower budget teams that did well post Weiner.

:wtf2: Bill Belichick may be the most easily hateable non-player in the entire league.
