And since Silver answers to the owners, the majority of them will request a silent vote in which the "No" voters can't be identified under penalty of breach of contract, then proceed to vote "No" on whether or not to force him to sell.

It doesn't matter......the bottom line is, Sterling was outed long ago for being a racist pig....this latest episode brought it to critical mass....so kudos to the media, the new commish, the players, general public et al for voicing outrage and opposition and leading to a swift, concise remedy.
Those of you who want to paint him as some sort of victim by his GF's "motives" are missing the underlying theme.

They can't vote to force him to sell.

What they CAN do is vote to terminate his franchise. What this means is he still owns a basketball team......just not an NBA basketball team.

If that happens his franchise effectively is worthless. He'll either sue or sell WELL before that happens if they do indeed have those votes.

Probably. The only real question is if Silver does indeed have the votes to run him out.
