That's going to be a tough one, because there's not much else to watch, but unless the NBA removes Donald Sterling as an owner, I am thinking about not watching the NBA any more period. Both Donald Sterling and his wife has been slum lords that discriminated against minorities, women with children and etc in their apartment buildings and they have been convicted of discrimination. This is not even the third or fourth time someone has said they suffered racism against them and yet Donald Sterling and his freakin cronies has ignored the problem for the last 20 years that it's been happening. In case any one hasn't noticed - the NBA has improved in spite of the Sterlings - not because of them. For 20 years Sterling sucked the life of the best draft picks while the other teams got the remains.

The other owners HATE him for this......he got revenue sharing dollars, while putting NO money into the team.

He's lived off the rest of the owners hard work to improve the league - and the reason he has no place in the league anymore is because the NBA is most likely the most diverse pro sport in the nation. You can't be a KNOWN bigot out here and that fly, regardless of the money you shell out for players. It damages the league as a whole.

I'm curious to see how Silver handles this and if there is any real attempt to get him out of the league.

Looks like Dan Gilbert, of all people, is calling for Sterling's head on a platter.

Meanwhile, Mark Cuban of all people, is calling for folks to calm down

This is going to be very interesting in what they do tomorrow.

Agrees on a publicity punishment, donates a shit ton to an inner city project, withdraws from public view for a bit and then smacks his bitch up.

As long as he doesnt get arrested for smacking his bitch up everthing fades away.

Im guessing that HIS plan.

Probably.....but he's 81. He can't take his billion with him. He really doesn't gain anything in keeping the team, he's more than made back his money. I'd love for him to disappear......the time it will take for this to blow over may be more time than he has left.

Then again, he may end up like Al Davis, and just never die

funny considering how much of an asshole Gilbert is in his own way...

Cuban being the voice of reason is almost equally funny...

I seriously doubt that the owners has the balls to force Sterling to sell - They are weak and they don't want what happened with the McCourts but I wish I was wrong. The good news is that within a year - Sterling will be selling - He won't be able to survive when he starts losing the sponsers, players and fans and I think enough of them will disappear long enough to put the hurt on on him

Why is Cuban being the voice of reason surprising to people? He's pretty darn smart and typically in touch with the nature of things.

Cuban is being the voice of reason because he knows there's probably some chick out there that recorded him saying racist things as well.

The general theory floating on ESPN is that the owners will be too scared to force Sterling out for fear of the same thing happening to them down the road for something stupid. It's a good ole boys club and lets face it - Sterling is not the only racist in the NBA - He's just the first to be exposed recently

Agreed, Sterling isn't the only racist owner , he's just the dumbest racist owner.

By the way: For those that have not heard everything, there is a pretty good article on ESPN and the board of governors do have the power to remove Sterling as an owner or force him to sell. If two-thirds of the owners vote to remote his franchise - he would be stuck without a team: My opinion is that they could simply tell him that he is going to be suspended indefinitely or until he sells the team and has six months to sell the team or lose his franchise. In short they wouldn't schedule any games for the Clippers and Sterling would be totally screwed. If they did that - they hopefully would create exceptions for the players to sign with other teams

Did you mean remove or does that mean something different as I am frequently a dipshit?
It would be cool if they relocated him and the team to Vanauatu though.

And its a smart theory. It's not that "oh you're a racist so you lose your team" , it's a behavior thing. Legally, the way such a provision is worded has to be very careful as to what constitutes punishment. Does infidelity count (think Tiger Woods level)? What about political beliefs (like a foreign owner does something that fine in his country that US peeps look down upon)? What if the league just doesn't like and just digs for anything remotely controversial and uses the provision to justify taking the team? It's not so simple to just say we don't like you, we're taking the team. As an owner, you don't want to set a loose precedence that can be twisted against you in the future. It's smart to be cautious.

This whole story is a joke.

The gold digger in question should be charged with a crime for leaking a private conversation and basically ruining a guy's life for the time being.

As I have said in several posts(if you have read them all) I doubt that they are going to force him to sell the team - he's 81 and the chances of him living more than a few more years are most likely remote( I shouldn't say this because my mother is 89 and the thought of Sterling being around 8 more years is revolting)

CLIPPERS WILL FIND IT VERY HARD TO WIN THE SERIES

I would really like to think that this is the demise of the Clippers.

Also who knew racism was so alive in the state? LMAO disgusting fucking people, racists not US citizens although the people who will still buy his jerseys and go to his games and buy what ever other products he sells outside of basketball they are disgusting too.
BECAUSE, OF ALL THE DISTRACTIONS THE CLIPPERS WILL WIND UP LOSING THE SERIES.NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
EVEN THOUGH THE CLIPPERS ARE BETTER THAN THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS...WORD

On Monday, 15 Clippers advertisers said they have terminated or suspended their sponsorship, although most expressed their continued support for the team's players, coaches and fans.
Announcing their departure were CarMax, State Farm, Kia, Virgin America, Red Bull, Mercedes-Benz, LoanMart, Southern California Ford Dealers, Yokohama Tire, Burger King, Sprint, Samsung, the Commerce Hotel & Casino, the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians and the company that makes Corona beer.
The flight of carmaker KIA and insurance giant State Farm were particularly noteworthy because the companies employ as spokesmen two of the team's stars — Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Both companies said their ad campaigns would continue to feature the two Clippers.
