what a terrible time to come out with something like this. not that its ok to say this anytime but especially when the playoffs have been great this year and your team is still in the hunt
Sterling has a history of weird behavior and racism. the NBA is going to have to make him sell the team. this reminds me when MLB had to force marge schott out for her Nazi comments. if you listen to the conversation IMO it was a set-up. his ex girlfriend knew she could corner him into his racist views in a conversation. so there was probrably some stuff going on between them , maybe he was fed up with her or visa versa. HES DONE AS OWNER!!! there is no coming back from this.

Apparently, the NBA has no legal standing to take the team from him. Unlike MLB, they have no rule in which an owner can be removed.
The only way would be for players to refuse to sign there or even more effective, they should do like Dodgers fans did to force the McCourt's out. Basically, Dodgers fans stopped showing up for games and the income loss forced McCourt to sell to cut his losses.
I agree, players have to refuse to play there for change to be made. League could only fine/suspend him & the fans have never mattered to the Clippers franchise anyways.

they wont ever do that either. In the end, money drives them. They'll continue to play for the racist all awhile thinking taking their warm ups off is a statement maker.
That's true. He managed to keep his team when they were lucky to get 6,000 people to show up.
Yeah, empty arenas never mattered to the Clippers.
Those were the good ol' days though. I used to go to the occasional Clippers game to see players from other teams when they were playing in the L.A. Sports Arena. You could get tickets dirt cheap and sit pretty much wherever you wanted.
Didn't have to wait in line for beer or food. It was great.
