And @SmokingMonkey just traded for CMAC...ouch
If you are still watching the BUF-SF game...
Josh Allen just threw a pass to Amari Cooper who lateralled back to Allen who ran in for the score.
So officially, it goes as a pass to himself for a TD. He is only the 4th player in NFL history to have it scored that way.
Man I dunno, so far this reeks of 'not Jordan Love's night"
He's OFF
How many people played Tim Patrick last night ?
Clearly Dan Campbell learned nothing in that playoff game against the 49ers last year. It's going to bite him in the ass again this year in the playoffs. I'm all for being aggressive, but that was just stupid. I honestly think that guy would rather look manly and lose than weak and win. I think he's probably the most likeable coach in the whole league, but he really needs somebody else with less testosterone to make the big decisions for him on the sideline. What a gutsy call by the Lions.
Tie game, 4th and inches with 30 seconds left. Theyre within field goal range but they elect to run a play for the 1st down, keep the clock running so GB has no time... and then kick the game winning field goal.
Gutsy.
I pretty much agree. It's easy to say 'wow what a great, ballsy, call! Campbell is a stud!!', when it worked.Clearly Dan Campbell learned nothing in that playoff game against the 49ers last year. If you recall, Goff tripped on the play and hus knee did hit the ground before getting the ball to Monty.... just wondering why a QB can take a deliberate knee to kill a play, but an unintentional knee is ok?
Not that i'm rooting against Detroit. No way would i rather see a Packers victory, but LaFlower was probably so stunned to see Campbell go for it, maybe he missed Goff's knee? Or it doesnt matter?

Just another double standard that benefits the offense, no matter the teams involved.
QB knee on the ground only means he's down when the QB wants it to mean that.
Pretty much every time the QB motions to go to the ground (slides, taking knee) or starts to go OB, the play is dead and can't hit him...EXCEPT when a QB slips and falls after the snap? I get the intention behind it, wanting to keep the play alive, but also understand why the ambiguity sucks for the defense when so many rule interpretations and changes favor the offense, just another facet for D to deal with
