Didn't watch either game yesterday, but saw that Josh Allen 'not' making the 1st down 'highlight' ouch.

At what point does Goodell and the league say, 'hey, we hear all the rumbles of people thinking that officials are throwing games for the Chiefs, maybe we should put a little extra effort into NOT awarding them EVERY close call, and in essence confirming those opinions?"

I don't subscribe to that theory, but man, every single week, there's at least one more instance that makes you go...hmmmmm...

It is the narrative.

There are plenty of 50/50 calls in every game every week.

As soon as one goes KC’s way, the conspiracy theorists post about it like it is some type of proof.

Fact is, if you are the Bills and you have to go on 4th down as many times as they did, and the calls are so close that a spot 2 inches short of where the runner gained caused them to turn the ball over?

Then the Bills didn’t execute and they have nobody to blame but themselves

I'll keep going: Is there something wrong with Hurts?

Chiefs D is smothering Barkley, AJ and Devonta should be scoring like crazy right now.

There certainly wasn't much doubt in the first half who came to play and who didn't. I told my wife that IF the Chief's kept it close, they would likely win - they couldn't and didn't. Philly pretty much dominated in every phase of the game from start to finish. Mahomes wasn't the precise Mahomes we've come to expect, Kelce wasn't Kelce, they couldn't run the ball at all - those things alone made it a one-sided game. Couple that with a great game plan by Philly, a lights out defensive effort - - and it wasn't even close.

didn't even try. Three designed rush attempts in the first half. THREE out of TWENTY
Obviously they knew they couldn't against the Philly front coming in. Think Andy will be busy this offseason upgrading the whole offense. The defense held up reasonably well but barely had time to breath between possessions. Far too many 3 and outs - and the lack of a run game was a big reason. .... the just did not look sharp. Guess you have to give props to the Philly D for that.

oh absolutely props to the Philly D. And the KC d, imho, was equally as impressive, but you can only do so much. If they hadn't had all the turnovers, I'm sure Philly would've bene hard pressed to have 20 points that game.

But that's kinda why you HAVE to run the ball. less turnovers, your inadequate line will be attacking rather than being attacked, and more time for the defense to catch their breath on the sidelines.

OL and RB?

Think they're gonna be happy with Rice/Worthy combo. I'll eat some crow there, didn't think Kelce fall off would be sharp enough and even after Rice injury I didn't think Worthy would see enough consistent targets but he proved me wrong down the stretch.

Rice/Worthy MIGHT be enough- Assuming Rice comes back at 100%.

lot of work to do regardless

Depending on what Kelce decides, after licking his wounds, there may be a need a TE. .... otherwise, think WR is decent enough for Mahomes - of course Rice still has to face the music for his stupidity on the interstate. ...

They did extend Gray and even gave him a little bit more run this season, as well as drafted a receiving TE last spring.

Neither are dynamic receiving threats right now, but outside of a FA splash or trade, not sure a rookie TE would take over Gray's snaps in KC's year 1 without Kelce
