I think they go hand and hand in this case. He was hurt in the Flyer series and is causing him to play that way.

History tells us he gets two more questionable hits before the league acts.

Here's the hit, Guentzel on Carlsson. Hard to see if he clipped his jaw. Looks like maybe some helmet to helmet. When I saw it live, I thought maybe rib injury but they are saying concussion.

Not a whole lot to go on from that angle, but one thing in Guentzel's favor is he didn't change position to lead with the shoulder that would have gotten inside Carlson's. Makes anything regarding head contact much easier to deem "incidental".

Just being a coach posturing for his own team. I truly don't blame him.

Trotz should learn from Sullivan. He should have released injury information ASAP. The league clearly is more interested in outcome than the act.

I'll go with Jakub Vrana having 3 goals and an important game winner in the series. He had a good stretch with lots of scoring chances in mid- to late-March, but couldn't get a little lucky to put more in the cage. Law of due!

Backstrom blocked a shot off his hand in the first period. Played into the 3rd but only took 3 face-offs all night.
