I think one thing that's different in this series vs. years past. The Caps are actually the better team down the middle for the first time in this rivalry.

Pens are dangerous, but our centers are strong and our blue liners are clearly a level above the Pens. Let's hope Holtby keeps playing like he has been.

Should be a great series.

Every year this happens I think to myself, "The Caps will win it this time around." Law of averages, etc. And I'm usually wrong. I hope I'm wrong again. This will not be enjoyable to watch, and the stress will likely take a few months off of my life expectancy. Ahhhhhh, the playoffs.

A couple years ago we had an absolute epic Steelers/patriots thread before the AFC championship game. I hate the patriots to the point that if the Taliban had a team and played the patriots, I would root for them. It never got personal or ugly and I got to know some of the hated enemy. Some of them are not so bad.

Then the game started and the Steelers got punked - again.

I am new to the NHL board, but I think this could be a fun thread.
