With a win tonight, the Caps would also be at 8 wins in 10 games.

I think the Caps' key blue liners deserve a lot of credit these playoffs and especially this series. Carlson, Niskanen, and Orlov are all averaging over 25 minutes per game, all doing an outstanding job (+6 overall despite facing top units), and all contributing on the offensive end and in the transition game as well (5 goals and 20 points).

At the other end of the ice, I think Justin Schultz has actually had a pretty nice series, but Dumoulin and Letang have been somewhere between middling and awful depending on the game.

It is all relative but the lack of a short series win from the Caps or Pens doesn't help against the Lightning in the next round.

Observation...I miss the days of when Orpik was on the ice, it was an automatic goal for the Penguins.

Oooo... I see why they called Kempney there, but puck still just off his stick. Little bit soft.

Great defense in the first period by the Caps. Tie into the first intermission. That's the goal when you're the road team in a do or die game for the home team.

Lucky redirect. Pens gonna need a couple more of those to win. They are losing in the trenches.

Slow chanting Holtby for one goal on a weird redirect off his own player. :L

Is it me or is Milbury criticizing Kuzys Offensive skill just a little ridiculous?

Stellar saves by both goalies late in that period.

Milbury chided Kuznetsov for not shooting the "open top half of the net," but Murray challenged and cut that down. Great goaltending.
