My issue with the hit is, what was his intention anyway? If he had been trying to skate around Dumo, fine, maybe this is accidental. Like Steckel on Crosby, which never really bothered me.

But it really looks like, at best, he was planning to hit him from behind. Once you choose to hit an unexpecting player illegally, I don't think the honus should be on that player to "not move his head suddenly".

If Dumo missed significant time, this hit could be a series changer.

Such bad luck for Wilson. Kind of like the first round when Webbnerg accidentally drove his head into Wilson's elbow. From his knees. While being held against the boards by another player.

I didn't say you did. In fact, I also said that the slow-mo replay gives more credence to applying the rule, but in full speed, you can see the other side as well.

But I'm definitely leaning toward bad hit, no homerism.

I've got no love for Wilson, but I didn't see that as suspension worthy.

Borderline for sure, close to dirty, and it sucks for my team. But I think they got this right.
