I hate this whole Neanderthal mentality of "well, we're facing a lefty tonight so that means we've gotta start some real dog shit players because they bat right-handed and our much better left-handed hitters have to sit because they don't have great numbers against lefties."

Sometimes it just comes down to playing your best players. I'd rather lose with major league lefties batting than with minor league trash who aren't even AAA material. Guys like Venable, Moreland playing OF, and dare I say even a hobbled Josh Hamilton give you a better chance to win than Drew Stubbs and Ryan Strausborger. At least Venable, Moreland, and Hamilton can hit ML pitching.

I would honestly rather have Josh Hamilton in a wheelchair in LF than Ryan Strausborger.
